Vadhavan Port in Maharashtra Expected to Receive All Clearances by Mid-January

India's proposed ₹76,000-crore greenfield port at Vadhavan in Palghar, Maharashtra, is anticipated to have all necessary clearances in place by mid-January. The environmental clearances have recently been received, and public hearings in the Dahanu area of Maharashtra are expected to commence soon. The Vadhavan port project, a joint venture between the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) and the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB), aims to handle 15 million TEUs in the first phase and 23.2 million TEUs after the completion of the second phase. The port will be developed on a "land lord model."
