The Baltic Exchange's dry bulk sea freight index marked its third consecutive weekly increase, rising by 13.3% to 2,102, with a 15.5% gain for the week. All vessel segments, including capesize, panamax, and supramax, experienced strengthened rates. The capesize index surged by 26.4%, reaching 3,385, and iron ore futures contributed to this growth. Panamax and supramax indices also saw positive movements, rising by 1.5% and 1.1%, respectively. The overall positive trend reflects increased rates and earnings in the dry bulk shipping market.
